Speaking on function room for party it's good size and clean- decor could be improved ie wallpaper. Service from caterers and bar staff was very good decent price drinks and food was lovely. Was not enough parking for particular event. Family members who stayed overnight said rooms were clean, basic but comfortable and value.
The Greenlands is a nice friendly social club. The main area has a snooker table, pool table and dart board with TV's to watch the sport. There are functions rooms for people wanting to hire out for do's, and a nice beer garden round the back. The only downside of the bar is it always seems to be sticky. We've used this pub many times over the years and you can gaurantee as soon as you put your arm on the bar it will stick to all the spilled drinks. A regular wipe from time to time to save customers arms wouldn't go amiss! The rooms are basic but clean. The only downside to the rooms is you don't get a kettle to make a coffee in the morning (We have stayed 4 times for work and social activities and never had a kettle so it wasn't a one off!). That's not the end of the world though as there are cafe's nearby.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. Becky couldn't do enough for us so thank you Becky. Room was warm, clean and comfortable. Locals made us feel welcome too by talking, laughing and dancing with us. Breakfast was amazing and all cooked fresh. Lady who cooked it was lovely too. Will definitely go back again and again. Keep up the good work. The only thing I can say bad and it's not bad, was no remote for TV but there was a man trying to get one to work but we wasn't bothered cause we wasn't there to watch TV. No bin in room so had to use bin out the bathroom for our rubbish. The worse thing was the smell of sewage late at night outside but inside and in our room we couldn't smell it. We were 2 ladies staying cause of a show we wanted to watch. We wasn't expecting to much but was pleasantly surprised. Great value for money.
Lovely spotlessly clean room decorated very nicely, plenty of lighting and mirrors for getting ready to go out. Hot shower also spotless, fluffy white towels and toiletries. Lady on the bar really friendly Although there is no kettle or refreshments in the room when I asked at the bar a lovely lady made me up a tray with kettle mugs tea coffee fresh milk for a very nominal fee of £5. Thank you for a good stay
Staff are really pleasant and polite, lounge and bar is completely family orientated as from serving, cooking, cleaning, events and customer services there is 4 generations running the place. Could not fault it.
Had my wedding 10 June 2023. What a fantastic day/night. Claire the manager went above and beyond for us. Bar staff was out of this world worked so hard for us. Lovely atmosphere Recommended this place 10 out of 10

Can't comment on the rooms, but the food side has been taken over by 'js kitchen' and wow! What a step up! I came in a Sunday for the roast and it was gorgeous. The food is amazing value and you can tell it's good quality. Will definitely be back.
